My published articles include:

* Published article in the Detroit Legal News on Domestic Violence.

Domestic violence is a common and under-reported crime in the United States. Control is at the center of violent behavior. Abusive men use violence against women to exert and maintain control and power in the marital dyad.  Abusive men feel entitled to express their frustrations or anger by being violent towards women. Although there is clear evidence indicating that women are, infrequently, the perpetrators of domestic violence, research findings prove that it is generally men who are the majority of the perpetrators.

Women Abuse

Women abuse, often referred to as battering, is the most common and least reported crime in the United States (“Newsletter of the Vermont Governor’s Commission on the Status of Women”, September, 1980).  Control is at the center of violent behavior.    Men use violence against women to exert and maintain control and power in the marital dyad.  The fact that so many individual men feel entitled to express their frustrations or anger by being violent to so many individual women illustrates the power men continue to hold over women.

Personality Disorders

"...There are common "clusters" of similar symptoms described as Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and Histrionic Personality. Are there "common denominators" of traits among these varying diagnoses? What are the behavior/personality characteristics that would lead a trained therapist to diagnose one versus the other of these disorders? What are common treatments of therapies for these syndromes?..."

Psychological Abuse

"...Psychological abuse, also called emotional or mental abuse, is defined as a form of abuse characterized by a person subjecting or exposing another to behavior that may result in psychological trauma. In this article I address the effects of psychological abuse in marriages and families..."
