Meditation

Meditation is very important part of feeling centered, and have peace of mind. The research shows that people who meditate live longer and fuller lives. If you allow for ten minutes a day in the morning and at night to meditate for one month, you will likely feel a greater sense of well-being.

There are many kinds of meditations. For example, walking meditation, sitting meditation, laying-down meditation, meditation with nature, meditation with hearing music or poetry, meditation using visual guided imagery, and many more to name.

Before beginning to meditate, you need to give yourself the gift of embracing the present moment. In the words of Deepak Chopra, “The past is history, the future is unknown, but the present is our present.” During meditation practice, allow your mind to release all emotional and physical tension, and desensitize from the hustle and bustle of the world. Keep your focus on breathing slowly and deeply. Experience yourself taking a well needed break from the chaos in the world.

The immediate result of meditation is relaxation. This brief time period when you take a break from the chaos of the world is a relief from the constant wear and tear of carrying our stress around all the time. The meditation gives you more harmony, and inner-alignment, and more clarity to go back to your everyday responsibilities with more mindfulness then before.
